Spice and Herb Infused Waters
Water. I won’t bore you with the redundant tutelage on why water is vital for good health. What I will talk about are these all natural sexy sippers which are easy on the eyes, a cinch to make (basic eyeballing recipes), and of course the addition of raw whole spices that enhance the buzz in our brains to drink more water!
A surprising bonus about spice infused water… it makes your breath fantastic. Naturally, drinking adequate amounts of water is crucial for oral hygiene, but did you know that water infused with green cardamom and anise star freshens breath? Who would’ve thought?
Let’s stop spending money on flavored waters that contain additives, sugar, sodium and food dye and make our own!
After a vigorous 5 mile hike on Sugarloaf Mountain this weekend, hydrating with water to and from the summit, upon returning home, plain old H20 had worn out its muted welcome. That’s when I switched gears and made one of my favorite waters:
This next water combination is literally Thanksgiving infused water… Yum!
Spice up your water when guests come over. Use some of your preferred spices and herbs. Your guests will love the thoughtful touch.
And last but assuredly not least is this gorgeously infused water…
Tip: I don’t like to waste herbs and fruit, so after a day or two has lapsed I use them in my smoothies. Berries tend to break down the fastest.
Spice and Herb Infused Teas

Ceylon (present-day Sri Lanka) is known for some of the best cultivated tea in the world. The spice gardens (many situated all over the country) are plentiful of cinnamon trees, curry trees, and varietal pepper plants.
These spice infused waters and teas can be consumed warm, hot or chilled. Have fun with your water and teas by using whole spices for a fun, exciting angle on water fusion and hydration! No more sodas or sugary juices. Drink more water!
